Reading and Writing
As you have probably heard, this year the language arts and reading class split into two different classes. We interviewed two of the language arts teachers for some more information on this split. We asked Mrs. Hayden, 8th grade reading and language arts teacher and Mrs. Manning, 7th grade reading and language arts teacher.
“Students need better communication, so they needed more time to focus on one.” Mrs. Manning stated when asked why the two subjects needed to split up.
“I like having a separate class for writing, because it gives us more time to do big writing projects.” Mrs. Hayden said when we asked her what she likes most about the division.
We interviewed, 8th grade student, Carson McKee. “I love it! Mrs. Locker is awesome!” she said when we asked her about the change.
Last but not least, Mr. Miller, Vice Principal, how he felt about these two classes separating and he replied, “It was an AWESOME decision!”
