The
middle school soccer team is having a great time playing soccer. The team is
having District championships this week. The girls played Trigg tomorrow, and
the guys will play Mayfield. The guy’s record is 5-1. This year has had many
weather delays. They haven’t played many games as they like but they have
performed well in them.
The
Football teams have stared their practices with a bang. The 8th
graders have started freshman practice. The practices will go through next
week. The team is also participating in 7 on 7 this summer. The 7th
graders have also started their practice with the 8th grade. The

GCMS SOCCER
The Graves County Middle School boys are 4 and 1 this season so far. Two of their games have been postponed because of the weather and will be played on a later date this month. They have defeated Mayfield twice, Trigg once, and Murray once. Their only loss this season came against Caldwell County Tigers with a score of 3-2. Ryan Mathis had both goals in the game, and kept the team in it. Until they fell to defeat… Tonight the boys and girls take on The Marshall County Marshals.

BASEBALL
The
Middle School students have started their season as high school athletes well.
The freshman team has a 4-2 record this year. The team has a game tonight
against Calloway County. We asked, Gage Mathis what he thought about the team
so far. He said, “I have really enjoyed this season so far, and look forward to
these upcoming years.” Freshman Coach Tyler Hall, a teacher here at the middle
school, he was a college athlete at Murray State. He is trying to share his
team with the freshman team. We look forward to seeing you at the games. Come

GCMS SOCCER
The gcms soccer
schedule has been plagued with weather recently. Three out of their first four
games have been canceled due to rainy weather. The one game they have played
came as a win over the Mayfield cardinals. The score was a deciding 4 – 0
victory. The soccer team hopes to keep up with their recent success.
